On Tuesday morning, a fatal car accident near Cordoba, Argentina claimed the lives of three relatives of Pope Francis.

It has been reported that the Pope's nephew, Horacio Bergoglio Emanuel, was driving his vehicle on a mountain road near the town of Villa Maria when he struck the back of a truck carrying corn

Emanuel, 38, survived the accident and was hospitalized in serious condition. Sadly, the other occupants of the vehicle were killed, including his wife, Valeria Carmona, 36, and their two young sons.

The driver of the truck also survived the crash and with no serious injuries. He has since been charged with aggravated manslaughter.
